Online Challenges for Self Actualization

Do you challenge yourself?

Dreams Start With Patience #12

Reading time: 2 minutes

What to expect:

  1. Getting ahead with consistency.

  2. The positive side of online challenges

  3. Book recommendation

Change, allows for us to become better versions of ourselves.

Without a challenge - positive change does not occur

“Positive” is not as subjective as some people think

Every being can improve in 3 different areas - then into the subcategories these areas impose.

1. Health
2. Wealth
3. Happiness

With significant time, a balanced body and mind. I believe anyone has great potential to improve.

We see this time and time again with the normalization of posting our lives online.

The key player for getting ahead of the curve in anything is consistency

I know - I talk about this a lot.

Yet, many people do not want to do hard things especially not consistently - this is the competition you have.

The people who choose the easy path, the path less traveled

This path implies freedom - you will struggle

The other path is the one society sets out for you, to be comfortable, safe, secure.

Design your own route, fuck it up → reroute and find clarity anew.

Embrace the challenges life throws at you.

I genuinely believe everything is connected

If you start to self-actualize, get ready for challenges and obstacles to fall into your path.

The way of the disciplined human is to find adversity before adversity finds you.

I will be sharing some online challenge ideas

(No I won’t be talking about the cinnamon challenge or the Tide Pod challenge here)

Challenge: 21 Days of Non-Judgement

“You always own the option of having no opinion. There is never any need to get worked up or to trouble your soul about things you can't control. These things are not asking to be judged by you. Leave them alone.”

Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

I believe Aurelius was right about this.

The concept of having no-opinion seems like blasphemy to those who constantly spew negativity.

The concept of no opinion allows you to think deeper.

Humans are fragile creatures
We all get our egos hurt
Humans eventually self-identify with their opinions

Eventually doing such a thing will eat at your psyche

You will live a happier life without judgement.

The more you criticize others - the more you criticize yourself

Here’s the challenge→

Participants are encouraged to go 21 days without passing judgement on others, or on situations they cannot control.

This challenge requires setting up daily reminders for being neutral
Tip: Listening more than you speak is crucial here

Keep a journal of your progress everyday - if you slip up, write about what happened and why you felt the need to judge.

Replace judgement with curiosity

Jumping to conclusions is assumptive

Allow yourself time to breathe and pause → ask a question about it out of curiosity

-Zachariah

TLDR: The newsletter discusses the importance of change and challenges in personal growth, with a focus on improving health, wealth, and happiness.

Zachariah suggests that consistency is key to success, and encourages readers to design their own paths and embrace adversity.

The main challenge presented is a 21-day period of non-judgment, with daily reminders and journaling to track progress.

The author also recommends a book by Naval Ravikant for improving entrepreneurial IQ.
