The 4 Pillars Of Productivity
This week’s newsletter is about understanding and optimizing the 4 pillars of productivity.
This week is for people who can’t get on track to become their best productive self.
By the time you’re done reading, you will be capable of organizing your life in a more productive manner.
I have worked with numerous people to develop their productive systems. I use principles based learning to help rookies get a grasp of the basics.

Pillar #1 - Time
Time is your greatest asset.
We spend the majority of our life afraid of time.
The idea of mortality is one I talk about frequently.
The pain associated with time is fear of opportunity cost or death.
Humans have spent thousands of years attempting to survive the chaos of reality - only recently did we start obsessing over what we “could” be doing.
Tips for foundational improvement:
Set goals and deadlines for yourself.
Prioritize your tasks.
Delegate work when possible.
Take breaks throughout the day.
Avoid distractions.
Find joy in your routine - productivity should be an exciting feeling.
Goals and deadlines allow you to channel more of your most precious resource.
Intentional deep work puts emphasis on less is more.
We are not capable of giving our best work while sustaining long-ridiculous hours.
Life is a matter of priorities - so use your tools to delegate responsibly so you can get more done.
Pillar #2 - Energy
Energy = health
Prioritizing your health is critical for productivity improvement.
You will perform your best when feeling your best.
Optimizing for energetic sprints is the #1 way to get ahead in any productive endeavor.
Feel better perform better - simple yet overshadowed by the world of modern convenience
Bonus tip: The more convenient something is the less healthy it is.
Get enough sleep.
Eat nutrient-dense foods.
Exercise regularly.
Take breaks throughout the day.
Practice mindfulness.
This pillar cannot be delegated
Without longevity you have less time to achieve a more productive lifestyle.
Knowing when your “energy hours” are is essential.
For most people it’s within the first 1-4 hours of waking.
Upgrading your life through productivity starts with understanding your finite resources - The top of the list is time + energy you only get so much per day.
Pillar #3 - Focus
Myth: Humans are capable of incredible output for long periods of time.
The average office worker is only productive for 2 hours and 23 minutes in the workday.
What does this mean?
Well - more and more tasks are starting to become automated, thanks to Artificial Intelligence.
Also - many individuals were thrown into the workplace without any training of optimization
Humans seek and create distractions it is a coping mechanism for the existential dread of our reality.
Focus is your leverage in our world of distractions.
Productivity starts with focus - you indulge in the chaos and start to make sense of it.
From an openness to change you are now aware of your potential.
Once your potential is known you can never go back - welcome to self-improvement.
Focus is your sword - you don’t want to wake up in 20 years and realize you haven’t moved the needle at all.
Pillar #4 - Knowledge
Information (ideas) + skills (way to execute through action) will provide you with the keys to a better life.
Personal productivity results in less mental clutter.
Professional productivity results in less anxiety about sales and marketing.
Spiritual productivity results in less sadness and despair.
Adopt all 3 layers of productivity and you become an intricate individual who is high-agency.
When people approach me wanting to change their mindset on productivity - I tell them to read more
Beyond just that, it’s about the idea of relentless learning, habitual learning, and passionate learning.
Read books you like, read books you hate, whatever it is just read.
The difficulty lies in your mind, the more you do it the less painful it is.
This is the pillar you have absolute control over.
Tips for foundational improvement:
Take courses.
Find a mentor.
Ask for help when you need it.
Growth-mindset and an “I know nothing” mindset is critical to learning rapidly.
“To know, is to know that you know nothing. That is the meaning of true knowledge.”
